Run your first test

This guide takes you from entering your website address to reading your first report. It takes about five minutes of your time, plus a few minutes of waiting while the test runs.

Step 1: Enter your website

On the Cyberbard home page, type your website address into the box (for example example.com) and click Check for Free.

Within a few seconds you will see a first set of basic checks, with the problems found and the things that already pass. This is a quick preview. The full report with your competitors and your plan takes a few minutes more.

Step 2: Sign in

To get the full report, sign in. You can use:

  • Google
  • GitHub
  • A magic link: enter your email and we send you a link that signs you in, with no password
  • Email and password: choose a password with at least 8 characters, including an uppercase letter, a lowercase letter and a number

New accounts receive 3 free credits. See How credits work.

If several accounts were created from the same network or browser, the free credits may not be added. You can still add credits yourself at any time.

Step 3: Confirm your project

A project is one website that you track over time. When you create one, Cyberbard shows a short confirmation:

  • Creating the project and running its first test uses 1 credit. If the test fails, the credit is returned.
  • Your current balance is shown, and what it will be after this test.
  • Scheduled scans: a switch that makes Cyberbard re-test the site automatically every two weeks, using 1 credit each time. You can leave this on or off. You can change it later. See Scheduled tests.

Click Create to start.

Step 4: Wait a few minutes

Your first test is now running. A message tells you how many credits you have left. The full report usually takes around five minutes. You can leave the page open or come back later.

Some report sections currently work best for websites written in English. If your site is in another language, the report tells you which parts may be limited.

Step 5: Read your report

When the test finishes, open the report. It has three tabs:

  • Summary shows how you compare with competitors, and your AI readiness score.
  • Audit shows the detailed checks of your own website.
  • Fix Plan shows what to fix, in order of importance.

Start with the Summary. Then open the Fix Plan and try the easiest fixes first. For a guided tour, see Report overview.

What is free and what is locked?

Your first report is covered by your free sign-up credits. Some parts are locked until you unlock the report for 3 credits, for example the step-by-step fix instructions for the harder problems, the Growth Plan, PDF export and Retest. See What unlocking a report includes.

Something went wrong?

If a test fails, the credit is returned automatically. See Troubleshooting.
